What is LukeOlympics?

The 2022 LukeOlympics will be held on Saturday, July 30th. So, mark your calendars, forget about your kids sports tournaments, and come joy the day with a great group of friends!

  • Location: 3783 Spice Creek, North Tonawanda, 14120

  • Check-in is from 1:00-2:00

  • National Anthem at 2:00 sharp!

  • Events will start at 2:15.

  • Entry fee is $50 per team (+$1.80 processing fee).

“LukeOlympics” is a Kid Free evening full of your favorite yard games: Cornhole, Original Lawn Jarts, Washers, Beersbee, Bulzi, Bucket Ball, PuckleBoard, and Shut Ball.

The events conclude with Beer Pong where the “LukeOlympic Champions” are crowned.

Hopefully, Duff's will be sponsoring LukeOlympics and we'll be having the best wings in WNY as well as pizza from Good Guys! We'll also have snacks and other side dishes on hand. We do ask that you bring your drink of choice and, if you like, a snack or dish to pass. Also, bring lawn chairs and coolers as we have a limited quantity to offer.

To read more about the format and the general rules of the games, visit the “Events & Rules” page of this site. Here are the Cliff Notes:

A team consists of two (OR THREE) competitors with whom you will be paired for the entire day. Teams are required to come up with a name and since it’s the “Olympics”, teams are required to choose a real or fictitious country to represent. Teams are also encouraged to dress alike and pick an “anthem” which will be played should you make it to the winners podium. For inspiration, a few good names from years past include: Vachina, Lussia, Big Boned, Freedonia, and Vatican City.

Once regulation play is completed, the top-16 teams advance to the elimination bracket where the 1st seed plays the 16th, 2nd plays the 15th, and so on.

In the first round of the tournament, the lower seed team gets to eliminate one of 3 yard games optioned to them. Then, the higher seed gets to pick which of the two remain games they want to play. Assigned events are randomly determined in advance of the games beginning.Loser is out. Winner advances.

The final 8 teams then advance to a beer-pong tournament where the last team standing is crowned the “2022 LukeOlympic Champions”.

So ask your spouse, a friend, family member, co-worker…whoever you want to team with…to be your partner for this day of fun.

Have a couple of friends that would also like to join? Let Jeff Luke know and send them the link to the registration form. The more the merrier (my goal is to grow this event to 64-teams!).

Should you not have a teammate but would still like to participate, submit a registration form indicating you are a single and I’ll do my best to pair-up singles to make a team.

If you don’t think you have what it takes to be an Olympian but want to join the fun as a spectator and cheer on your favorite nation? You’re more than welcome to come.

“LukeOlympics” is an opportunity to come together as friends, acquaintances, strangers or ‘buddies’ to laugh, drink, and relive the glory days.

So Register/Venmo today and see if you have what it takes to be a “LukeOlympian”!
